I think the action plan allows you to look objectively at what obtains in your space. Often times we look at our situation subjectively because we don't want to admit that our plans were not specific enough to bring about real change.
ReplyDeleteI think that the action plan for ICT's is achievable and attainable. However, it can only prove effective if we as managers and teachers are willing to accept the change that will and must come with regards to ICT's. The classroom has been changing and will not remain the same. We need to get on board or forever be left behind. Change means to adapt to what is going on around us and once we realize this, it will become easier to make learning within our environment easier.
ReplyDeleteWe cannot and must not be left behind. This is the path to which and through which we must take our students ,self .school and community for all to benefit from ICT's. We want our students to be excited about learning and have the ability to interact with staff and fellow students using ICT'S.
ReplyDeleteSomething that has been mentioned many times , is that this cannot happen over night. It will not be accepted or even understood by all. The main idea is according to Ms Browne is that everyone needs to get on board with the change or be left behind and I may add even further in the dark ages. We ourselves require enlightening interactive and exciting ways to be taught and re-evaluated so much more so our students. ICT's provide such an avenue to bring educating alive and make it fulfilling both for the teacher and the student. It only takes the first step.
ReplyDeleteI am convinced that the proposed ICT Action Plan is suited to our situation. It is aptly comprehensive. It should allow leaders and managers to attain success.
ReplyDeleteI strongly believe that using ICT Tools within each school would be beneficial for both teachers and students as we continue to grow and developing new ideas.
ReplyDeleteI believe that using ICT Action Plan is workable within our scope; however, for it to work and work well, we would have to do upgrades in most areas of our education system....e.g. training, security, infrastructure.
ReplyDeletepoint of clarification
ReplyDeleteis the mission and vision that we are suppose to work on separate and apart from the vision and mission that the school already has/ Are they to be the school's vision and mission for ICT integration? Please respond.
Ms. Athill:
DeleteThe vison and the mission for the ICT action plan is specific to ICT. However, an overall school vison and mission should reflect the overall plans for the school and as such if you are proposing to integrate ICT then it must also be refelcted in the overall vison and mission of the school.
The ICT vision and mission will be more specific, elaborating and outlining what your plans are for ICTs.
Hope this helps.
